OUR LEADERSHIP
The Trainer Family - Founding Missionaries
The Trainers are Christian missionaries serving the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Stephen leads Graffiti Ministries and serves as director of our companion nonprofit, the Graffiti Ministries Learning Center. Carrie is also very involved in ministry while caring for their five children. The Trainer kids, Ryan, Liam, Sean, Audrey, and Nathan love New York City and consider growing up at Graffiti an exciting adventure!
Stephen has been in ministry for more than twenty years. He holds master’s and doctoral degrees in organizational leadership and an undergraduate degree in education. Carrie also has a degree in education and was a classroom teacher for many years before transitioning to homeschooling their own children full-time.

They have one beautiful little girl, Olivia, who enjoys pointing at dogs, saying hello, and eating blueberries.
